Sarah comes through these intersections, and I see her from time to time. I think that I should run into you as well since we travel the same roads. Perhaps a different time of day.
Yesterday was a good day to be out. At the intersection of 5th and Peachtree, three cyclists stopped for the light. It was only a few years ago that when three cyclists stopped at the light, we remarked that we had never seen so many cyclists in one spot. Now it is "normal".
Even more interesting, the driver of flat-bed tow truck asked us if we had enough room. Maybe he heard about the 3-foot law bill being introduced in the Georgia Legislature, or maybe drivers are simply getting more courteous to cyclists.
Stories of bicycling around Atlanta, reviews and comparisons of cycling in different cities, and commentary on the 'healthy places' that are created by pedestrian and bicycle friendly streets.
I welcome nitty-gritty questions about riding bicycles - how to pick a bicycle, find a route, stay un-sweaty, and feel comfortable in traffic. Post your questions in the comments section or email me.
